New to the Leica Q family, the Leica Q3 43 is launched equipped with an APO-Summicron f/2.0 43 mm ASPH lens. Now there is the choice between the 28 mm wide-angle lens in the Leica Q3 or the standard 43 mm lens in the Leica Q3 43. Depending on the type of photography preferred.
Lecia Q3 43 compact camera with full-frame sensor, fixed 43 mm optics with light surface rak f/2.0 and a timeless design. A market-leading and unique camera that set and continues to set the standard in its segment.
The 43mm focal length mathematically corresponds to the diagonal of the full-frame sensor (24 x 36mm). This means that the proportions and distances are reproduced approximately as we perceive them with the human eye. Perfect for portraits and street photography. This type of focal length is also no stranger to Leica. Leica has always developed lenses with similar focal lengths in the past, especially for compact size cameras. Ur-Leica, the original CL lens, the Minilux lens, all around 40 to 42mm. (Leitz Milar 42mm f/4.5 from 1905, Leica 40mm Summicron-C f/2.0 from 1973...)
